Awesome building. Great service. Truly one of Talihina’s gems. April is a delightful human being.

Great bed and breakfast rich in history and preserved. Michael runs a lovely, very peaceful, quaint, place that feels more like home than a hotel.

DO NOT LET THE LOOKS FOOL YOU! This place is absolutely perfect. The owner truly cares about the history of this place. He gave us a tour, and brief history lesson upon checking in. Small, but cozy, and very comfortable beds. If you're in the area definitely give this place a try. The only downside is that this is a very small town so everything closes early. Not the hotels fault though. Just the location. However I'm glad this gem is at this location.

Our car broke down as we were driving through Talihina on a Saturday, and we ended up staying in the 2-room suite at Hootie Creek. Michael was quick to get us in there, and showed us true hospitality. The whole place was INCREDIBLY clean - we could even tell the bedspreads and blankets had just been washed. I’m always a little worried that a historic building like that might be musty or mildewy, but there was not even a hint of that. We weren’t expecting to be spending the night anywhere on the road, so we very much appreciated all the comforts as well as the complimentary snacks and coffee, a very cool deck to relax and eat the barbecue we walked and got for dinner, and the late check-out - since we couldn’t leave until we had a drivable car! Battle Auto Care took care of us on that front, and in the meantime we got an unexpected little vacation in an awesome historic hotel. Might be the best sleep I’ve had in months! I can highly recommend Hootie Creek - it’s worth a trip just to experience a level of relaxation you might have been missing without even knowing it!

My husband booked me a massage here last year for mother's day and it was absolutely lovely! The facilities were top notch, a beautiful little retreat in Talihina. Now, during this weekend's snow, the owner is offering rooms at half price to any local residents who are affected by the ice or who have lost power. I think that's absolutely swell of them to do that if the community needs it. We love that and will absolutely be making an effort to go back some time!

A really welcoming environment. Michael and all were so friendly and informative. Room and common spaces had everything we needed and were quite comfy. Looking forward to another visit.

My group of seven family members just got back home from staying the weekend at Hootie Creek Guest House in Talihina, OK, where we traveled for my grandson's wedding. We fell in love with the hotel as soon as it came into sight as we rounded the highway and turned onto 1st Street. The rooms are clean and inviting, beds are comfortable and the hotel is an absolute treasure trove of antiques, nastalgia, sitting areas and much more, within walking distance of downtown Talihina eating establishments. The weather was good and we spent a lot of time in the large outdoor patio area, which was a nice spot for my family to hang out, relax and visit. Overall, it was an absolutely wonderful experience had by all and we can't wait to go back and stay there again. My thanks go out to the manager, Almon and owner Michael for their labor of love in renovating and restoring this beauty in the heart of Talihina. We will see you again.

Well, let me tell you this place was such a breath of fresh air and a wonderful experience! I am accustomed to staying in the big namebrand hotels. I didn’t know such atmosphere could happen in a hotel. I love this place and it’s owner! He made me feel so at home told me the history of the old hotel. He has a love for this building and a desire to please all the guest who come. Very, very old school.

Adorable restored guest house. Feels like my grandmas house, very cozy. Original wood floors, decorated in historic decor. Complimentary coffee bar with soda, water and Keurig machine. Lots of common areas, an upper deck where you can take coffee in the morning and a garden porch area for outdoor dining. So much better than a cookie cutter hotel room!

It’s off the beaten path but for us it was perfect. People are so helpful and friendly. One of the neatest places we’ve stayed in our travels. The history of this place is great. Comfortable updated rooms. We’ll be back.

This was a neat place to stay! We were in town overnight for my daughters procedure at the hospital. Thank God we found this place ! I have never stayed in an older guesthouse like this. We had a whole suite and it was terrific. There was complimentary water, snacks and sodas. There was so much posted history on the walls and I didn't get through it all. You should stay here because the owner himself is incredibly friendly ! The rooms were very clean. The beds reminded of sleeping at grandma's house with those crisp clean sheets. It was just so neat!

Very nice ‘piece of history’ hotel. Have to call to be let in as front door is kept locked (they give you a key when you check in). Was not an issue or wait as manager is on site. Nice place for an overnight stay, not a lot to do or see in town, but beautiful area to visit and start the ‘Talimena’ drive. 2 story with about 10 available rooms.
