I did not stay as a guest but was able to walk around and visit the hotel. The staff was very kind and accommodating.

This place is absolutely adorable! The owner is very nice and old Hotel is just awesome. Very clean, and a wonderful balcony to enjoy my wine and watch the little town. The owner was very accommodating to us as we had a trailer and he allowed us to park in the front of guest house. Not fancy, but very inviting, comfortable and fun.

What a great experience. Mike is attentive without being in the way. Great place to stay with a great host. He worked with us to provide a wonderful family experience during a recent high school graduation.

When I called to make the reservation I told them that the day I was expecting to do the check-in was my birthday, the person on the phone told me the day before mine was his birthday. So I prepared a gift for this person, I thought he was an employee. But when I got there, finally, he was the owner of the hotel. They give us a warm welcome to the hotel. The tour arrow by Almon was great. What a beautiful Hotel, a frozen-on-time hotel, a remarkable piece of history. We went there for the first Bigfoot Conference at Talihina, and staying close to the convention location was very good. Interacting with Almon and Mike (the owner) was great, they answer all our questions, really awesome people. The Room was great, and super clean, even my wife told me how clean was, very well presented, warm, nice bed, really HOT water, and lots of water, as you expected in an old building like this one. We had an amazing time, I didn't expect to find such great people and such a beautiful hotel there. I can't wait to come back and even stay longer. Thank You, Mike and Almon.

Really excellent and cozy stay if you are passing through Talihina or wanting to spend some time in the mountains. The staff is very friendly and the historic building has undergone an impressive amount of renovation to make it habitable. Worth taking the time to look around and spending time in the shared areas. Would recommend to anyone.

We had to come to Talihina for a funeral. This place looked interesting so we booked a king room for one night. The guy who runs the place is a great host. He showed us all the common areas and our room, gave us some quick history too. They had free sodas and beer and spirits were available on the honor system. I enjoyed a beer on the common balcony before bed. The place was perfect for us.

Do you want an experience, not just a hotel room? Well, THIS is the place for you! The history, the friendly owner and staff, the many amenities, such as complimentary sodas, water, coffee and snacks, just to name a few. The beds are divinely comfy, the rooms are impeccably spotless, and fireplaces warm your tootsies throughout the entire place. Sitting rooms, games, reading niches and restfulness is what you'll find. Home sweet home away from home. Don't forget to ask about the resident guinea named Guinness 😀 😉

Wish we had arrived earlier and enjoyed the hotel more. Next time I'd like to relax in the balcony and enjoy a beer or wine from the fridge (it's an honor system) and just look at the mountains. I believe you can schedule a massage. Looking forward to staying again.

A great historical guest house with tons of thoughtful amenities. Our room and bed were comfortable, the home had multiple seating/relaxing areas, and there were nice touches like complimentary water, pop, snacks, etc. Thanks for the great stay Mike!

We recently stayed here as a first timer for a car club event. At first it was a bit odd to us that we had to call the owner but later we understood that being a small town, he doesn't want the front door to be unlocked. We got the grand tour of the place along with some history of it and the town of Talihina. We received two keys, one for the front door and the other for our room. We stayed in their newly renovated master suite which offers two separate bedrooms and one large private bathroom. There are two large sitting areas upstairs along with two fridges that offer complimentary water and sodas, there is also a coffee station, and a walkout to the front upper deck! Downstairs you will find a large table to sit at and then the large bar area with plenty of stools, a stove to cook on a long with pots and pans, and two refrigerators. There was also a large patio area on the side of the building if you wanted to sit out and relax there! We were very pleased to see how clean everything was and the fact that we had a free run of the place. If I could rate this place higher then 5stars, I would definitely do so! The Scenic Talimena ByWay and the Old Indian Trail are right at your footsteps. Perfect place to stay with either your car friends, bikers, or even if you are just passing through town!

Our stay here was just amazing! Lots of space, lots of amenities, and a very well kept place. It has 2 patios and big common areas that are perfect for relaxing with friends. We could not have found a better place during our visit in Talihina. Excellent place for groups.

If you're passing through and need a place to stay this place is beyond amazing! The time, effort and love put in to restoring and preserving this building is so inspiring and the people here are wonderful. The room and bed was very comfortable but we spent most of our time in the common areas reading and drinking wine. 10/10 would recommend to stop and rest here!

Top notch for our taste. It is quiet and peaceful. The owner lives on the premises and waited for us even though we checked in late, at 10 p.m. This is a cozy historic place located in quaint Talihina, OK. We love it and we will be back!!
