The host was amazing we got in late and he didnβt hesitate to show us around. This place is incredible. I felt like I had stepped back in time but with all the amenities that I would need to survive lol. Even my children loved this place. We will for sure be back and I would give this place 10 stars if it were possible. Do not pass this place up hidden gem.

My Friend Stacey and I needed a room and everyone was booked. We called Michael, and he informed us that he had 2 rooms. He made us feel so welcome and just like family he treated us. He also honors us Veterans by giving us a discount. Staying here was a great experience and we will be coming back!!

What a great experience, enjoy a Saturday night with the Wifey. Just an unbelievable place to stay. The entire house is opened to you, full bar and so many places to just hang out. Don't second guess yourself, do it and you will love it

We came through on motorcycles and we usually stay down the street, but she was booked. We called Mike and he just had 2 rooms available and let me say he made us feel welcomed the minute we pulled in. This is the place to stay we loved it. Mike told us the history of the place and gave us a tour. This will be our stop from now on when we take our trip every year. It was like we was home the minute we stepped inside. So of you thinking of a weekend getaway this is the place to stay. We will definitely be coming back. πππππ

This place is super cool. Hats off to the owner taking an old hotel and turning it to the Hoodie Creek hotel. No place has this type of historical atmosphere. Clean, comfortable and relaxing. No doubt the wife and I would stay again- we loved it.

Lovely historic hotel that is in the process of being redecorated and restored by Almon, the man in charge. He was so friendly and showed us around the hotel and shared its history. Very cute and interesting touches on the inside. There are some beautiful Guinea fowl on the property and restaurants and coffee shop within walking distance. I would stay here again!

I was absolutely charmed by this quaint hotel. From the history to the hospitality. We arrived at 1030pm . Very tired.. we were checked in quickly and shown around and explained how everything worked. Our host was as friendly as if it was 9am. Instead of so late. After dropping our bags in the room I went back out and looked around. I loved the place. Super clean and comfortable. Shower was hot with great pressure. We will definitely be back again.

Great place! We got there by accident and ended staying two nights, Comfortable, clean rooms. Lots of snacks available for free with ability to buy adult beverages at a reasonable price. Really homey living area with fireplace where we sat in the evenings with a deck on both levels that was lovely to sit out on night and day. Got a tour right off the bat and it was fun exploring the history of the guest house. My husband loved it (and he usually doesnβt :).. Will be going back.

I have stayed at hundreds of hotels, B&Bs, guest houses, AirBNB, etc.... This was my favorite place of any of them. This little hotel (or guest house) is full of so much character. The architecture, the interior, the rooms. It is such a unique little jewel in the heart of Southeast Oklahoma. I called needing a room 5 minutes before I needed to check in somewhere. The owner answered the call and said he'd take care of me. 5 minutes later I was there and already checked in. The owner was very friendly and gave me a tour. He kept telling me to come knock on his door or call him anytime during the night if I needed anything at all. I assured him I wouldn't be bothering him. The tour included their bar area which was stocked with drinks and he told me everything was on the honor system, just pay for what you take. The room was very comfortable. Nice comfortable bed and pillows, a tv with satellite, a small full bathroom that was just remodeled and was impeccable. The shower had good pressure and piping hot water. The room was clean. Also, this is no longer a Bed and Breakfast, as they don't serve food (but do have coffee and some small snacks in the bar area). But if you want a meal there is a diner that opens early and closes late directly across the street. Few other options in town as well as a very good and very authentic mexican restaurant. I have absolutely no complaints about my stay and it is now going to be a regular thing when I just want a quick getaway in the mountains.

Nice stay in Talihina! Staff was very polite and shared information on a lot of complimentary features of our stay! It was a nice room, and was very clean as well! Would definitely recommend for anyone looking to lodge in the area!

I saw a review saying they advertised a bed & breakfast--just a little reading on the site or even a call will confirm that they USED to be a b&B, now a "guest house" where you're on your own for breakfast--which is fine because Pam's diner is just a few steps away! Their breakfast was cheap and very good! So let's clear that up. We went into it knowing they didn't serve breakfast. The price was pretty cheap compared to some other places we've stayed with less accommodations, but you just have to expect that this is not the Ritz. This is a historical, kitchy, and super friendly small-town experience that will pair perfectly with the Talimena scenic drive. I was impressed with all the preserved pieces of history, whether from the original hotel or just that time period. Lots of framed photos with descriptions give you a glimpse of life in those times, and make the place even that much more charming. Creaky hardwood floors, antique furniture, quilts on the bed remind you that it's an old building and "vintage" --while the pleasant, clean aroma, balcony and deck with string lights, modern appliances and remodeled bathrooms show their commitment to keeping up with the demands of today's patrons. We thought the free soft drinks, coffee, and bottled water, along with packaged snacks in several places, and self-serve beer fridge and bar (price suggestions listed but they work on an honor system--don't ruin this for all of us!) were a nice touch that you just don't get in a bigger hotel. Also the fact that they'll mail a postcard for you--that's just a nice, friendly touch. Say hi to the Guinea who hangs out in the deck, and enjoy the coffee shop and gift shop right across the street! Main street is just the next block over so make sure you go support local businesses and boutiques! (My only complaint is the bed was too firm for us to get a good nights' sleep!) Overall, it's worth your time and money to make this part of your travels. Even better if you're staying with the idea that you'll be taking the scenic drive--they have a map downstairs that shows you exactly where you'll be going! Enjoy!

Excellent stay all around. Stayed two nights this past weekend to enjoy the scenic byway. Our stay was very comfortable, welcoming, clean and cozy. Alan was very kind, accommodating, and the hospitality was top notch. We will be back to stay again as soon as we can! β€
